Amity Fire District

Demographics

​The Amity Fire District is located in the Northwestern Willamette Valley Region of Oregon. We proudly protect a mostly rural population of approximately 3000 residents, scattered over an area of 85 square miles. Our District includes the city of Amity which is currently populated by about 1600 residents. The Fire District is currently comprised of 46 personnel, of which 42 are volunteers, 4 part time employees. We operate out of 2 fire stations. Our main station is located in Amity and a substation is located in Perrydale, about 10 miles to the southwest. The District enjoys an ISO rating of a 4 within 5 miles of either station and a 10 for the rest of our district. The Amity Fire District's history dates back to 1895.

As a public entity customer service is one of our top priorities. We strive to serve the citizens of our district in an exceptional manner. We are continuously looking for ways to improve not only our operations but we also continually look for ways to make our community a safer place to live.

Amity Fire District uses the Public Fire Safety system to improve communications and public safety by coordinating burn permits and regulations in partnership with Amity Fire District community members.
