Zones and seasons
Draw burn zones, set seasonal windows and attach your terms and conditions.

For agencies
Publish today's burn status, your local rules and fire danger in one place. Every resident in your boundary sees it, and you can see who checked.
Built for fire agencies
With Status Control, your Status Coordinators close burning and cancel closures from any device. The change reaches every zone, resident and status badge on your site at once.

In sync with the Oregon Department of Forestry

Oregon agencies get fire danger from ODF automatically. Your agency can raise the level for local conditions but never set it below ODF's.
Fuels don't ignite easily. Burning is usually allowed where your zone is open.
Fires can start from most sources. Watch the wind and stay with your burn.
Fires start easily and spread fast. Many zones restrict or close burning.
Fires start and spread explosively. Expect burning to be closed.
Fire safety and air quality
When fire agencies, Oregon Department of Forestry and the Air Quality agencies coordinate through Before You Burn, residents get one answer that covers both fire danger and air quality.

Fire districts and air quality regulators publish one message from one platform. Residents check once, agencies field fewer calls, and communities see fewer escaped burns and less smoke.

Yes. Residents register burns with their contact details and a mapped location. Your staff can see active burns in your district and message burners individually or as a group, including weather updates, warnings and shutdowns by text message.
Oregon agencies receive fire danger from the Oregon Department of Forestry automatically. A local agency can raise the level for local conditions, but can't set it below ODF's.
Air quality agencies issue advisories that restrict burning in the zones they affect. Residents see the restriction alongside fire danger and local rules, so they get one answer covering both.
Federal land managers can coordinate prescribed burns on BLM, Forest Service and other federal land, with the local agencies around them kept informed. Where federal and local rules overlap, the most restrictive applies.
Every address is matched to all the agencies with authority over it: county, fire district, state forestry, air quality and federal land. Where their rules overlap, the most restrictive closure or rule applies automatically. Counties can also set county-wide restrictions and coordinate with the fire districts inside them.
We set up your district, load your rules and train your staff. Residents can start checking in the same week.
